We are always looking for forward-thinking, creative individuals to add to our award-winning Foremost Media team. If you have a passion to create and innovate, contact us today!

Full Stack .NET Web Developer Job Description: Build software that helps businesses grow.

At Foremost Media, we build custom websites, web applications, and integrations that solve real business problems.

One week you might be building a custom eCommerce feature. The next, integrating with a third-party API, enhancing a CMS, or developing a custom web application. If you enjoy variety and like learning new technologies, you'll find plenty of opportunities here.

We're looking for a developer with a solid foundation in .NET development who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership of their work, and continuously improving their skills.

This role is best suited for someone who can work independently on most development tasks while continuing to grow their skills.

This is a full-time position based in Janesville, Wisconsin. We prefer candidates who can work in the office at least three days per week after onboarding.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Build and maintain custom websites and web applications using C# and ASP.NET.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
  • Design and maintain data-driven applications using SQL Server and modern data access practices.
  • Implement front-end functionality using JavaScript and modern web technologies.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, refactor, and improve existing applications.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and fellow developers to deliver successful client solutions.
  • Contribute ideas that improve our software, development practices, and client experience.
Required Experience:

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Entity Framework
  • Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • Umbraco, nopCommerce, WordPress, DNN, Statamic, or similar CMS/eCommerce platforms
  • Azure, IIS, or cloud hosting environments
  • Authentication and authorization (Identity, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
  • Payment gateway integrations
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
Qualifications:

We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of software development fundamentals. Experience can come from professional work, freelance development, internships, open-source contributions, or substantial personal projects.

What matters most is your ability to solve problems, build quality software, and continue learning.

  • C# and ASP.NET (.NET / .NET Framework)
  • JavaScript and modern web development
  • REST APIs and API integrations
  • Relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Git and version control
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Writing clean, maintainable code
  • Strong communication and collaboration skill
Job Type:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder).
  • We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

If you're looking for an opportunity to work on diverse projects, continue growing as a developer, and make a meaningful impact for clients, we'd love to hear from you.

Offering:

We don't build the same application every day. Our developers work on a wide variety of client projects, so adaptability and curiosity are just as important as technical ability.

We trust our developers to solve problems, research new technologies, make technical recommendations, and take ownership of their work. We don't expect you to know everythingβ€”we do expect you to enjoy figuring things out. If you enjoy learning, collaborating, and building quality software, you'll fit in well here.

Show us what you've built.

If you have a GitHub profile, portfolio, personal projects, freelance work, open-source contributions, or live applications, we'd love to see them. Demonstrating your ability is often more valuable than listing another technology on your rΓ©sumΓ©.
