Your Role as an Adjunct Instructor

Work Arrangement & Compensation
Adjunct Instructor appointments are made on a per-semester basis, with courses primarily offered during Fall and Spring terms (Summer opportunities may be available). The teaching commitment includes:
  • On-campus instruction for all scheduled class sessions and office hours
  • Classes typically meet three hours per week
  • Maintain regular availability for student consultation

Note that this role is a union position (Service Employees International Union (SEIU)) and all adjunct faculty members are required to pay fees or dues to the union.
Compensation is determined by credit hours taught, current collective bargaining agreement rates, and course assignments.
