Job description

Web Developer/Engineer for automotive website startup: Local automotive-focused start-up is seeking freelance web designer/developer/engineer who can use our completed wireframe design set to build a "deals" based website for consumers. We are interested in partnering with an individual who has an entrepreneurial spirit, is serious about his/her career, and is looking for an opportunity to explore a leading feature designed for consumers who like to negotiate deals. Ideal candidate is creative and excellent with user interface & design.

Experience with SaaS based applications or Enterprise Level portals that allow for communication, lead generation, and dashboard level features. Prior work in developing sites for Automotive, Finance or Credit Applications is valuable. Similar websites exist for comparison of features but nothing incorporates these features in this industry, you will be creating something new with excellent potential for growth and success.

REQUIREMENTS Must have project management skills, reliable for status updates on phone calls or if necessary in-person meetings, and a willingness to see the project succeed to completion. Must be well versed in HTML, with a base understanding of PHP, Java, Photoshop and CSS. Experience with lead generation, inventory data feeds, content management systems and networking a plus.

Ability to show work completed in Web Design (HTML5 and CSS3) Experience meeting deadlines in a high production "startup" environment Creating start-to-finish web sites including all aspects of design, layout, and code Excellent understanding of search engine technology, SEO optimization, analytics and web standards Strong ability to use Photoshop and other image and video editing applications TIMEFRAME This project will be a Phase I proof of concept, it will be a fully functioning website used to test the project and gain momentum for future rounds of financing. Expectation is the project will take 6-10 weeks to complete on a part-time or freelance basis. PLANNING & COMPENSATION This position will be a work for hire role typical of new startups, you will leading the development of the website and responsible for all coding or engineering from start to finish.

This is a competitive bid, once you are chosen to provide a statement of work you will be required to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement and you will be allowed to review the wireframes. Once you review the project in its entirety you will provide a complete Statement of Work with your expected compensation for the project. Please make sure you are prepared to do the work necessary for a "startup" project, you should be excited about the project and building a company, compensation is important but not everything.
