Freelance escape room design involves creating puzzles, storylines, and layouts for escape rooms on a contract or project basis rather than as a full-time employee for an escape room company. This role requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of game mechanics to ensure the rooms are both fun and functional. Freelancers may also assist with set design, prop creation, and playtesting to deliver a complete experience.
