Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Freelance - Senior Brand Designer based in Netherlands.

In this role, you will help shape and scale a fast-growing financial product brand that is redefining how people understand and manage their money. You will operate at the intersection of brand, marketing, and growth, translating strategic goals into high-performing visual systems and compelling creative outputs. The environment is fast-paced, high-ownership, and highly collaborative, where design is expected to directly support acquisition, conversion, and product storytelling. You will contribute across campaigns, product launches, and everyday marketing touchpoints, ensuring consistency, clarity, and strong visual impact. Beyond execution, you will play a key role in building scalable design systems that accelerate creative production across teams. This is a hands-on, high-impact freelance role for a designer who thrives in both craft and systems thinking.

Accountabilities:

Own and evolve brand design across growth, marketing, content, and product-adjacent initiatives, ensuring a consistent and high-quality visual identity across all touchpoints. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing assets for product launches, campaigns, marketing initiatives, events, and emerging brand needs
  • Creating performance-driven marketing materials such as paid ads, social media creatives, email assets, landing page visuals, YouTube thumbnails, and event kits
  • Building and maintaining scalable brand systems, including Figma templates, reusable components, iconography, illustration styles, motion guidelines, and layout systems
  • Developing and improving brand guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams
  • Supporting Growth, Marketing, and Content teams by enabling high reuse of design systems and accelerating asset production
  • Contributing to campaign concepts and creative direction, not just execution of briefs
  • Connecting design decisions to acquisition, conversion, and performance outcomes
  • Using AI tools to prototype, iterate, and accelerate creative production workflows
  • Managing timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables to ensure high-quality execution under tight deadlines
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior-level brand designer with strong systems thinking, excellent visual craft, and a performance-oriented mindset. Key qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of experience in brand design, ideally within high-growth startups or leading design studios
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual excellence, brand systems, and multi-channel design execution
  • Deep understanding of how brand, marketing, messaging, and copy work together
  • Experience connecting creative decisions to business outcomes such as acquisition and conversion
  • Proven ability to build scalable design systems and reusable assets
  • Comfort working independently from briefs and proactively proposing creative directions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly
  • Collaborative mindset, working effectively with marketing, growth, product, and content teams
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance creative workflows and production efficiency
  • High attention to detail, strong visual taste, and ability to maintain consistency across systems
  • Fluent English required; ability to work within 2h CET time zone preferred
Benefits:
  • Freelance contract with flexible engagement (approximately 2-3 days per week)
  • Competitive day rate ranging from 350 to 550 depending on experience
  • Fully remote setup within UK/EU time zones
  • Flexible workload based on campaign and business needs
  • Opportunity to work on a fast-growing fintech brand with strong product-market traction
  • High-impact role with ownership over brand systems and creative direction
  • Collaborative environment with strong emphasis on craft, speed, and quality
  • Exposure to high-visibility campaigns, product launches, and growth initiatives
  • Freedom to integrate modern AI tools into daily creative workflows
