Job description

About Orchard

Orchard's mission is to make home buying and selling, stress free, fair and simple. For the average American, the home purchase and sale process takes months, creates anxiety, and is filled with uncertainty and hassle. Orchard has reimagined the end-to-end experience of buying and selling, from innovative home search tools to find the perfect home to the ability to buy a new home before selling your current one. Orchard customers manage the entire experience through a personalized online dashboard, while also getting the support of best-in-class Orchard real estate agents.
Headquartered in New York City with teammates across the US, Orchard has 150+ full time employees and 600+ real estate agents. We have financing from top-tier investors including Revolution Growth, Firstmark, Accomplice, Navitas and Juxtapose, who have also backed the likes of Pinterest, AirBnb, Shopify and Sweetgreen. We're proud to have been recognized by Crain's, Inc. 5000, Glassdoor, Parity.org and Built In on their lists of best places to work.

About the Role

Orchard is looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to own our paid digital strategy. You will manage an 8-figure marketing budget across Paid Search and Paid Social, set the strategy for both channels, and build the team and systems that execute against it. Paid digital is one of the most important levers in Orchard's customer acquisition engine, and this role has a direct line to business outcomes.

This is both an individual contributor and a leadership role on Orchard's Growth team. You will operate as a hands-on practitioner, deep in the data, running tests, and building the playbook, while building and developing a team of Growth Marketers. As Orchard grows, so will the scope and team around this role. It is a high-impact position with full ownership of a major channel portfolio and meaningful cross-functional exposure.

This is a full-time role that will report into the Head of Growth Marketing. The preference is for this role to be based in New York and working in office two days a week, but we are also open to remote candidates in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, MA, MD, NC, NJ, OR, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Own an 8-figure paid digital budget and take full accountability for performance outcomes across Paid Search and Paid Social, managing to ambitious CAC and LTV-based targets
  • Set the strategy for both channels, including quarterly roadmaps for channel focus, testing priorities, and resource allocation, and iterate based on learnings and performance data
  • Hire, manage, and develop a team of expert Growth Marketers, providing clear direction, coaching, and feedback while maintaining a standard of excellence
  • Own reporting and paid conversion metrics end-to-end for your channels, consistently identifying, sizing, and advocating for improvements across the full funnel; synthesizing results into a clear narrative for stakeholders and leadership
  • Build and maintain a creative testing engine that consistently produces new concepts and formats across static, video, and emerging placements, working closely with our internal creative team, freelancers, and AI-enabled tools

We'd Love to Hear From You if You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a performance marketing function, with deep hands-on ownership in Paid Search & Social. Google Ads required, including strong command of bidding strategy, campaign architecture, automation, and landing-page optimization.
  • Aptitude for rigorous experimentation, with the ability to structure tests, document learnings, and relentlessly drive channel improvement
  • Deep experience with data analytics and visualization platforms such as Looker, Google Analytics, or Tableau, with the ability to move from raw data to clear insight to actionable next step independently
  • Strong creative judgment, including the ability to write a sharp brief, recognize what makes a high-performing ad, and build an effective testing pipeline in partnership with a creative team
  • Experience managing or mentoring other marketers. You have a strong track record of making the people around you better. Formal management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with high-consideration, high-LTV products and an understanding of how to optimize for full-funnel quality, not just cost-per-lead
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI to create leverage in creative development, insight generation, campaign management, or operational throughput, and a clear point of view on how to push this further
  • A builder and operator mindset. You do not just run campaigns; you build systems, testing frameworks, and processes that compound over time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize performance clearly for stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Amazing attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

The job title and compensation may vary within the range provided depending on job-related experience, knowledge, skills.  Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
