Job description

We're partnering with a school district in New Haven County, Connecticut to hire a dedicated General Education Teacher (Math) for the 2026-2027 school year.

This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting students through high-quality instruction, data-driven planning, and strong classroom culture. In this role, you'll deliver standards-aligned math instruction and collaborate with school leaders, support staff, and families to promote student growth and achievement.


Position Details:

  • Location: Onsite in New Haven County, CT
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
  • Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week
  • School Year: 2026-2027
  • Role Focus: Math
    • Middle School (Grades 4-8) and/or
    • Secondary (Grades 7-12)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a general education setting.
  • Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic success and strong student culture.
  • Differentiate instruction and use targeted supports to help students access grade-level content.
  • Use assessment data (formal and informal) to monitor progress, adjust instruction, and provide timely interventions/enrichment.
  • Collaborate with special education, intervention, and support staff to implement accommodations and instructional strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, expectations, and ways to support learning at home.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and school expectations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (required); Master's degree (preferred if required by district)
  • Valid Connecticut teaching certification appropriate for the assignment (Math), such as:
    • Math, Middle School (Grades 4-8) and/or
    • Math (Grades 7-12)
  • Prior experience teaching math in a school setting (middle and/or high school preferred)
  • Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students
