Seeking Special Event Line Dance Instructor Nationwide

Degy Concepts is growing, and we’re looking for multiple USA-based Special Event Line Dance Instructors to join our team! We are looking in all states.

We are seeking dynamic and experienced instructors with a passion for Texas-style and Country line dancing to lead an energetic and engaging event. This is a solo position requiring a versatile and self-motivated individual who is confident in leading crowds, setting up basic tech, and providing unforgettable experiences.

Ideal Candidates:

✔️ At least 1 year of dance instructor experience (preferred in line or country dancing)

✔️ Comfortable using a microphone and being the center of attention

✔️️Professional, reliable and able to travel for events

✔️Able to independently lead, manage time, and adapt on the fly

Requirements

  • Dance Instruction and Choreography: Lead guests through popular Texas-style line dances, such as "Copperhead Road" and "Cotton Eye Joe", and engaging with key-onsite stakeholders.
  • Session Energy and Engagement: Create an upbeat, fun environment that encourages participation and keeps guests entertained.
  • Tech Setup and Troubleshooting: Set up music and video materials, as well as basic tech equipment, including a Bluetooth speaker and a tablet.
  • Solo Event Execution: Run all aspects of the dance portion, such as setup, instruction, guest interaction, and wrap-up.
  • Cleanup and Breakdown: Assist with cleanup and ensure all materials are cleaned and appropriately packed after the event.

Shift Requirements

  • This is a gig-based position, traveling position. Applicants should be available to travel by car or by air, depending on location. Most gigs will take 1-2 days, including travel time. This may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Outgoing, friendly and confident leading a crowd
  • Strong dance knowledge, especially country and line dance styles
  • Ability to set up basic and operate basic tech
  • Time-efficient and comfortable working independently

Experience and Education

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must possess a Real ID
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a dance instructor or performer (preferred in line or country dancing)
  • Prior knowledge of major Texas-style and country line dance songs
  • Prior experience in public speaking or leading large groups
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • This position may be subject to a background check

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, dance, and speak for extended periods
  • Comfortable with light physical setup and breakdown duties
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that involves music and large groups
