Whether you're checking your bank account, buying a coffee, shopping online, making a phone call, listening to music, taking out a loan or ordering takeout – MariaDB is the backbone of applications used everyday. • AI Force Multiplier: Use AI writing and research tools as a core part of your workflow to 10x your output. You will be the internal expert on how to use AI to scale our content without losing our unique brand voice.
  • Operational Transparency: Establish a clear process for content production, giving the entire organization visibility into what is being published and when.

Position Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional writing or content marketing experience. A background in journalism, reporting, or professional blogging is highly preferred.
  • Writing Excellence: You are a fast, versatile writer. You can take a 30-minute interview with a developer and turn it into a provocative, SEO/LLM-optimized blog post by the end of the day.
  • AI Native: You are already using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to brainstorm, outline, and draft. You see AI as a tool to make you faster and more effective.
  • Technical Curiosity: You may not be a database administrator, but you aren't afraid of technical topics. You are eager to learn the nuances of SQL and the database market.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Interpersonal Skills: You are comfortable "interviewing" stakeholders to extract great stories.
  • Organizational Pro: You love a good Kanban board or spreadsheet. You keep projects on track and stakeholders informed.
  • Competitive Drive: You want to win the "search war" against our competitors and enjoy seeing MariaDB climb the rankings.
