Job description

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Port Washington, WI

Duration: 6 Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $49/HR

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 60 Hours Per Week | Monday-Saturday | 1st Shift

Join an electrical contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Port Washington, WI. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety activities related to electrical installations, temporary power systems, cable installations, equipment setup, energized work planning, and daily construction operations in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 5+ years of field construction safety experience
  • Electrical construction safety experience required
  • Ability to work in an active electrical construction environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • NFPA 70E Training or Certification
  • Data center construction experience
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or industrial projects
  • Experience with energized work planning and electrical hazard assessments
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Support and enforce electrical safety procedures and site-specific safety standards
  • Assist with energized work planning and electrical hazard mitigation efforts
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project
