CNC MACHINIST NEEDED

New Era Custom Design and Cabinet Works Inc is looking for Top CNC Machinist for our CNC Routers. We offer top pay and benefits for our employees. Our company manufactures and installs high quality Architectural Millwork in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia Areas. New Era uses the latest in CNC milling technology for wood working applications. New Era Custom Design and Cabinet Works Inc has been in business since 1979 and has worked on some of the areas highest profile projects so quality milling is a must. New Era is located in Frederick MD about 1hr from both Washington, DC and Baltimore. New Eras headquarters has a 70,000 sqft manufacturing facility with the lates in CNC machining centers. Our manufacturing facility has 2 nested based routers for cutting wood parts and acrylic based panels. Our operation runs from 6:30am to 3:00pm Monday - Friday. Many of our products and projects ship all across the country for Fortune 500 Companies and to other construction sites. Products that we mill/machine are as follows: cabinetry, countertops, reception desks, custom radius trims and nosing, templates, and much more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers to produce precision parts
  • Loading raw materials on the machine
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards
  • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments as necessary
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measure, and gauges
  • Troubleshoot machining programs and processes
  • Maintain machine tools, cutting equipment, and workstations in a clean and safe condition
  • Complete documentation such as job travelers, inspection reports, and nonconformance records
  • Collaborate with engineers and bench mechanics to improve machining processes and implement lean manufacturing practices
  • Follow all company compliance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reading tool wear and changing bits
  • Be able to utilize AutoCAD software to draw up custom parts to specific sizes and tolerances
  • Milling templates and other fixtures for wood working
