Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Niagara County Community College seeks confidential nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Reporting to the Vice President of Administration, the CIO serves as the College's executive technology leader, responsible for driving digital transformation, enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity resilience, and data governance in alignment with institutional priorities.

The College seeks a senior technology executive who will formulate and execute a multi-year Technology Strategic Plan and Digital Transformation Roadmap. The CIO will provide executive oversight for the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS), directing administrative and academic technology, enterprise applications, network infrastructure, and cloud solutions. Serving as a collaborative strategic partner, the CIO will optimize the ERP ecosystem and Learning Management System, establish campus-wide IT governance, and direct operating and capital technology budgets.

The successful candidate will establish comprehensive cybersecurity governance, risk management, incident response, and business continuity frameworks while ensuring strict compliance with GLBA, FERPA, ADA Section 508 accessibility standards, and New York State Information Security Policies. Additionally, the CIO will advise leadership on emerging technology trends like artificial intelligence and administrative automation, lead vendor strategy and cloud cost efficiency, and cultivate a customer-centric, professional development-oriented work culture within OITS.
