Description
Join our team as a Building Automation Project Engineer supporting large-scale healthcare and medical projects throughout the West Palm Beach area. In this role, you'll design and deliver building automation solutions while partnering with project managers, field technicians, and customers to integrate HVAC controls, lighting, energy management, and other building systems into high-performance facilities.

Hybrid Work Expectations:
This position is based in the West Palm Beach market. While you may work remotely when project responsibilities allow, you will be expected to travel to customer job sites throughout the West Palm Beach area as needed. You will also report to our Sunrise office for meetings, training, and other business needs as directed by the Operations Manager.

Compensation:
Brooks Building Solutions is committed to rewarding experience and talent. We offer competitive pay, relocation assistance, and signing bonuses for qualified BAS Project Engineers.

$90,000-$116,000+, Negotiable based on experience


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement building automation systems based on project needs
  • Integrate HVAC, lighting, security, and energy platforms
  • Create system schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences
  • Program controllers, sensors, and automation devices
  • Support final commissioning and provide technical assistance to field teams and end users
  • Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices
  • Ensure projects meet safety codes and regulatory requirements


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience with building automation systems (Niagara, Distech, ACAD preferred)
  • Knowledge of protocols like BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, energy, and security systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Degree in engineering or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to walk active job sites, including climbing stairs and ladders and navigating uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to wear required PPE during site visits.
