POSITION TITLE: Manager of Data & Advanced Analytics
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for developing, validating and deploying reusable analytical models to challenging Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Proficient in manipulation of high-volume data sets and experienced in distributed computing environments to analyze spatio-temporal data sets using advanced statistical methods. Responsible for guiding the full lifecycle of integrated, enterprise, columnar data warehouse solutions, including requirements analysis, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment. Responsible for the strategy and implementation of data ingestion and transformation tools.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform advanced analytics by conducting key strategic quantitative analyses for the BI group. Such analyses will generally be complex in nature - requiring application of Data Mining methodologies - and whereby large volumes of data are synthesized into actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to new innovation, including out-of-the-box thinking for various areas of analytic processing.
  • Design effective data streaming and data transformation jobs to support robust reporting and analytical global BI solutions.
  • Work with subject matter experts, business users and analysts to understand the most effective method of transforming business requirements into enterprise-grade data models and data architectures.
  • Plan and implement the design activities necessary to scope projects.
  • Include data mapping of a variety of data sources with transactions, reporting structures, and business processing rules.
  • Analyze terabytes of data in order to better understand user's' behavior and guide product development.
  • Research and correct data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.
  • Compare data from previous and current reports to anticipate user questions regarding the validity of data.

  • Lead, Develop and Grow a Global Data & Analytics Team (Asia, Europe, North America and Korea).

Requirements
  • Proficient in manipulation of high-volume data sets and experienced in distributed computing environments to analyze spatio-temporal data sets using advanced statistical methods.
  • Experience guiding the full lifecycle of integrated, enterprise, columnar data warehouse solutions, including requirements analysis, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience developing the strategy and implementation of data ingestion and transformation tools.
  • Experience in BI environment with Open Source, Oracle, Microstrategy, Bash & Shell Scripting
  • Experience in ecommerce and retail store environment
