Job Description:
Position Summary
• Our client is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to support the Data Modernization Program by designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure, landing zones, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Azure cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, automation, security controls, and release management.
• The Azure DevOps Engineer will work closely with architects, developers, security teams, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure reliable and compliant platform operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain Azure Landing Zone environments supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data platform, application, integration, and reporting solutions using Azure DevOps.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar automation technologies.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of Azure resources across Development, Test, Stage, and Production environments.
• Establish and maintain secure deployment practices aligned with organizational security and compliance requirements.
• Configure and manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, storage, and identity management components.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC), managed identities, Key Vault integration, and secrets management processes.
• Support deployment and operational management of Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Dataverse, Power Platform, and related Azure services.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards to support platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and development teams to implement governance, compliance, and operational standards.
• Support release management, change management, and environment promotion processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational readiness planning activities.
• Provide recommendations for DevOps best practices, automation improvements, and cloud optimization opportunities.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or related roles.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, security, identity management, and governance controls.
• Experience with Git-based source control and branching strategies.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and operational support processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise data modernization or cloud transformation programs.
• Experience working in government, public sector, or highly regulated environments.
