Position Type: Full time; Exempt
Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects.
The Automotive Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the successful launch of automotive products from late-stage development through start of production and ramp into high-volume production.
Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000/year, based on experience and qualifications

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between automotive customers and Air Squared during product development, launch, and stabilization
  • Manage automotive launch projects from development through production stabilization, ensuring customer requirements, project milestones, and launch objectives are achieved
  • Create and maintain project plans, communicate status, manage risks, and coordinate activities across internal departments
  • Lead APQP activities and coordinate completion of customer-required documentation, including PPAP submissions and supporting deliverables
  • Coordinate production readiness activities to ensure a successful transition of products from development into production and ramp-up
  • Work with Engineering teams to ensure customer-required testing is completed and documented in accordance with project schedules and specifications
  • Coordinate resolution of technical, quality, supplier, and production related issues that may affect product launch of customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate engineering changes and ensure customers and internal stakeholders are informed of changes affecting project scope, timing, quality, or production readiness
  • Define, assign, and track project action items to ensure timely completion of launch deliverables and cross-functional commitments
  • Coordinate transfer of product ownership, project documentation, open issues, and customer requirements following production stabilization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (required)
  • 3 years of project management related experience (preferred)
  • Automotive background (required)
  • Exposure to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Familiarity with Product Development Process
  • Strong communication skills (required)
  • Analytical work methodology and problem solving (preferred)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects effectively (preferred)
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes (preferred)
