Automotive Body Shop Manager
Experience Required$120,000 - $150,000+ Performance Based Potential Income
A family-owned auto dealership is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to lead our I-Car Gold Certified collision repair operation. We are seeking a hands-on, results-oriented leader who understands the body shop business and knows how to keep a team productive while maintaining high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong automotive body repair knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a track record of managing people, production, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the automotive body shop's daily operations 
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the auto body shop's technicians, estimators, and support staff
  • Oversee the complete collision repair process from vehicle drop-off through delivery
  • Monitor production schedules, workflow, repair quality, and turnaround times
  • Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to industry standards
  • Work closely with customers, insurance companies, vendors, and other departments
  • Review estimates, supplements, parts, labor, and repair procedures
  • Monitor shop performance, productivity, profitability, and key performance indicators
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
  • Train, coach, and develop employees
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable industry regulations
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications:
  • Previous management experience in an automotive body shop or collision repair facility is required
  • Strong knowledge of automotive collision repair processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of shop production, estimating, parts, and workflow
  • Customer-service oriented with professional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use automotive estimating and shop-management software
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
