Job description

We are seeking a data-driven Risk Manager who can break down and solve complex problems. This position requires strategic thinking, data skills, and investigative abilities to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
The ideal candidate is flexible, communicates well, demonstrates bias for action, and learns quickly. We protect systems, prevent fraud and abuse, pursue bad actors, and solve complex problems.
Selling Partner Trust and Store Integrity (TSI) creates a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon stores worldwide by protecting customers, brands, selling partners, vendors, and Amazon from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse. The Special Projects and Investigations (SPI) team within TSI protects Amazon customers and stores by applying systems thinking to understand how networks of users interact with multiple services. We target large-scale ecosystems that pose store-level risks and mitigate those ecosystems through internal and external means. Our growth requires highly skilled candidates who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new solutions, demonstrate tenacity to get things done, thrive in ambiguity and change, and can break down and solve complex problems.
Key job responsibilities
- Investigate risk and analyze large datasets to identify anomalies and trends that can be used to identify abuse at scale.
- Deliver results in highly ambiguous and fast-moving environment
- Use high-level judgment to own complex investigations and enforcement decisions driven through data.
- Write deep dive documents summarizing investigations and proposing solutions
- Foster collaboration across different departments to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Support teams in responding to, investigating and managing escalations around different types of abuse.
About the team
We protect systems, prevent fraud and abuse, pursue bad actors, and solve complex problems. Our team is structured around core store functions: identity, traffic, external third-party services, and financials. We use systems thinking to map how user networks interact across services, revealing vulnerabilities that bad actors exploit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
