Role: Business Analyst / Project Manager- eCommerce & Payment Functional domain

Location: Houston, TX (3-4 days onsite)

Duration: Contract opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / Project Manager with strong expertise in the eCommerce & Payment Functional domain to lead and deliver complex initiatives. This hybrid role combines deep business analysis with end‑to‑end project management to ensure payment solutions are compliant, scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between Business stakeholders, Digital Team, engineering Team, payment providers, and external partners.

Business Analysis Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements related to eCommerce payment systems.
  • Work closely with Business stakeholders & Digital Teams to translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform process mapping and gap analysis for payment flows, understand current pain points, and provide recommendations
  • Analyze impacts of payment-related changes (new payment methods, Integration ) on existing systems and operations.
  • Support QA Validation & UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and sign-off to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Define and track KPIs such as payment success rate, fraud rate, and recurring Failure rate.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Plan, Track, and deliver multiple related projects across the project lifecycle with Agile methodology
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk logs, and status reports.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones and dependencies.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, scope changes, and escalations.
  • Facilitate key project ceremonies (kickoff meetings, stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
  • Communicate project status and decisions clearly to senior leadership and external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Project Management roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the eCommerce Payments or FinTech domain.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional, technically complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of payment workflows and industry standards (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and/or Hybrid project environments.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Expertise in requirements documentation and project planning
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • PMP, or CSM certification
  • Experience with global eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
  • Experience with data analysis or SQL
  • Exposure to microservices and API-based payment architectures
