Job description

Senior Manager, Product Management - Fraud Modern Core Integration Lead

This is a Senior Manager role in Card Fraud focused on establishing and refining the long-term vision and Modern Core Reads integration strategy for Fraud. The individual will work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including product leaders, distinguished engineers, architects, tech leaders across Fraud and the Modern Core program, as well as business and data analysts. A key responsibility will be to define the Fraud onboarding roadmap for Reads and influence the technical design within the Modern Core platform.

Additional elements of the role will include:

  • Defining and advancing the 1-3 year Modern Core integration roadmap, focusing on Card Fraud's strategic value, sustainability, and scalability to achieve TSYS Parity Plus.

  • Partnering with Tech, Product, Ops, and BA leads to define critical data requirements, establish a feasible onboarding roadmap, and manage cross-functional dependencies.

  • Providing thought leadership on new Core Data structures and technologies, validate technical architecture solutions, and ensure execution meets Card Fraud's business needs at scale.

  • Overseeing execution, facilitate complex coordination (preventing service disruptions), champion the migration of historical data, and ensure a robust change management, training, and communication plan is developed and executed for driving Modern Core adoption across all Fraud Products.

Competencies:

  • Integrated Problem Solving: Own and drive the end-to-end technical problem-solving for the most complex Data challenges impacting Fraud and the Modern Core platform migration, establishing a unified technical roadmap and approach to ensure the successful delivery of Fraud's strategic agenda within the new environment.

  • Transformational Leadership: Serve as the key technical bridge between Fraud, Modern Core, and Tsys engineering teams, leveraging deep expertise to resolve dependencies, drive consensus on technical solutions, and proactively communicate risks and progress to Fraud leadership to influence data architecture and prioritization decisions.

  • Business Focus: Translate complex Fraud business needs into a prioritized Data onboarding and solution strategy for Modern Core, ensuring technical efforts are consistently aligned to maximize business value and enterprise-level risk mitigation.

  • Technology Driven: Maintain expert-level knowledge of both the legacy Fraud Data ecosystem and the target Modern Core architecture, utilizing this synthesis to proactively identify integration friction points and champion unified, scalable technical solutions between the Fraud and Modern Core engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 4 years of Product Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management; $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management


McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management; $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management


New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management; $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management


Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management; $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
