Supervisor, Loss Prevention

The Supervisor, Loss Prevention plays a critical role in the daily oversight of Loss Prevention operations and personnel in their assigned stores. The Supervisor provides leadership support to the Loss Prevention Manager, Store Management, Associates and directly leads and trains a team of Loss Prevention Investigators. The Supervisor reinforces the organization's core values and supports overall store compliance to company policies and effective execution of internal and external loss investigations.The Loss Prevention Supervisor coordinates and oversees the execution of Associate Training and Store Audit Programs to assist the organization in effectively addressing profit loss.The Supervisor must be able to assess risk exposures, provide leadership, maintain open communication at all times and develop effective relationships with all internal and external business partners

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Supervise team of Loss Prevention Investigators. Effectively schedule the LP team to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Ensure LP duties are completed to department standards
  • Serve as a business partner in generating, analyzing and communicating reports related to the organization's stock shortage performance, internal and external investigations and fraud prevention objectives
  • Review inventory accuracy and shortage controls across store environment to determine risk exposures and trends and provide recommendations to achieve store goals
  • Communicate store audit results to store management team to address operational opportunities and improve operational excellence.
  • Ensure store maintains and is compliant with all Health and Safety related in-house functions Ensure incident reports, training and safety measures are completed in a reliable and timely fashion in accordance to Holt Renfrew standard
  • Collaborate with store teams and departments to communicate Loss Prevention directives and Merchandise Protection Standards. Maintain a strong relationship with the visual team and Manager
  • Partner with Store Operations on inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy levels and drive stock loss investigations to support the execution of shrink reduction strategies andfraud prevention
  • Collaborate with store teams and support the LPM with creating a Security and Safety plan for each store event and the execution of the plan at the time of the event
  • Oversee the review of exception based reports to identify policy infractions and initiate internal investigations. Work with Manager , Investigators and Human Resource Team to investigate any actionable information arising from the reports
  • Conduct internal and external Loss Prevention investigations in collaboration with law enforcement and other related agencies to mitigate loss due to theft and fraud.
  • Lead, motivate and retain teams of high performing employees. Provide ongoing coaching, recognition and development to all direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree or diploma in Law Enforcement or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of progressive Loss Prevention experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
  • Positive, high-energy team player with proven leadership capabilities who takes initiative, accountability, and delivers results through others
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Formal training in WZ interview techniques or other related interviewing and interrogation techniques
  • Experience leading change in a rapidly growing business environment
  • Current Provincial Security Guard License
  • Standard First Aid, CPR OPA Level II
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and aptitude for system-based tools

Afin de definir l'experience de shopping style de vie de luxe en cultivant des relations durables avec nos employes, nos clients et nos partenaires, le/la superviseur(e), Protection des actifs, Verification et Controle de Holt Renfrew, est un membre-cle de l'equipe de la Protection des actifs qui protege les actifs de l'entreprise de la fraude et des pertes a l'interne et a l'externe. De plus, il(elle) rehausse l'experience du client et accroit les ventes et le profit dans le cadre de la supervision de la Verification et Controle, il(elle) s'occupe du standard telephonique (sauf rue Bloor), du service administratif, des comptes fournisseurs et du reglement des comptes quotidien au sein de la caisse centrale. Il(elle) fournit egalement les services internes requis en magasin dont les demandes generales, les demandes de renseignements sur les procedures, ainsi que la verification des achats et des sacs du personnel.

Les responsabilites incluent (sans toutefois s'y limiter) ce qui suit :

  • Collabore avec les parties-cles pour creer, developper et conserver des equipes au rendement superieur capables de produire les resultats et de realiser les objectifs de rendement et qui comprennent comment elles influencent l'entreprise
  • Se promene regulierement en magasin afin d'observer et d'identifier les personnes malhonnetes tant a l'externe qu'a l'interne
  • Observe au moyen du systeme TVCF et depeche du personnel
  • Apprehende les voleurs et tient a jour les dossiers des apprehensions
  • Temoigne aux procedures penales, au besoin
  • Effectue periodiquement des verifications des PDV
  • Mene des enquetes internes de facon confidentielle, au besoin
  • Analyse les rapports d'operations et effectue le suivi
  • Minimalise les pertes de l'entreprise dues aux erreurs de paperasserie
  • Soutient les equipes de l'Exploitation et des Ventes avec les prises d'inventaire, les programmes de deficit et les invendables
  • Repond aux urgences en temps opportun et effectue le suivi approprie
  • Offre du soutien et un suivi quant aux verifications afin d'assurer la conformite
  • S'assure que les appels entrants des clients sont repondus selon les normes de l'entreprise
  • Surveille les reparations des systemes techniques (PDV, etc.)
  • Offre un soutien au moyen du rapprochement bancaire, du codage des factures, de la gestion de la petite caisse et d'enquetes sur la retrofacturation
  • Coordonne et examine les excedents/deficits de controle de caisse et les resultats des rapports
  • Leadership :
    • S'assure que les enqueteurs executent leurs taches sur une base courante telles que : visiter les rayons pour observer et identifier les personnes malhonnetes a l'interne et a l'externe
    • Encadre tous les employes de facon confidentielle et en temps opportun
    • Effectue une evaluation de rendement annuelle des subordonnes directs
    • Cultive des relations avec les equipes du magasin et s'assure que la PA se concentre sur le magasin et toutes les equipes
    • Gere le deroulement du travail au sein de l'equipe
    • Dirige, motive et conserve une equipe d'employes tres efficaces
    • Recrute, selectionne, embauche et accueille de facon continue les employes les plus talentueux
    • Encadre les employes sur des taches specifiques
    • En collaboration avec le/la directeur(trice), s'assure de l'etablissement approprie des horaires du personnel des deux services

Le/la candidat(e) ideal(e) doit posseder :

  • Une formation : certificat ou diplome en mise en force ou dans une discipline connexe, ou une experience equivalente
  • Au moins 3 annees d'experience progressive en protection des actifs dans un environnement de detail en evolution constante et a volume eleve
  • Les qualites d'un bon joueur-cle, positif et energique, avec des aptitudes de leader eprouvees, savoir prendre l'initiative et le controle et obtenir des resultats aupres des autres individus
  • Une excellente communication, presentation et competence en negociation
  • Une formation en technique d'entrevue kinesique ou autre type d'entrevue associe ainsi qu'en techniques d'interrogation
  • Une experience en supervision de changement dans un environnement commercial a evolution rapide
  • Un permis de gardien de securite provincial valide
  • Une accreditation de premiers soins, de RCR de l'OPA niveau II
  • Des connaissances approfondies de la suite Microsoft Office et des aptitudes pour les outils systematiques
