The Role


As an Associate, Performance, you will support investment performance measurement, monitoring, and reporting activities across CPP Investments. Within Finance, the Performance team provides performance measurement, attribution, monitoring and reporting for the total Fund and its investment strategies, while developing analytics and methodologies that meet evolving stakeholder needs.

Accountabilities
  • Perform investment performance measurement, monitoring, and reporting activities while ensuring adherence to established policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

  • Prepare performance reports for investment groups and Management, analyze results, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Develop automated testing and control checks to improve the accuracy and completeness of performance, benchmark, and attribution calculations.

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans for system upgrades and process changes impacting performance reporting.

  • Support the development of new performance metrics and analytical capabilities to meet evolving stakeholder and committee reporting needs.

  • Deliver scheduled and ad hoc performance reporting with a high degree of quality, accuracy, and actionable insights.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on cross-functional initiatives while building effective relationships across CPP Investments and communicating performance results to stakeholders.

What You Bring
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant Performance experience.

  • Relevant professional designation, or progress toward obtaining one. E.g. CFA.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database technologies.

  • SimCorp Dimension is considered an asset.

  • Strong understanding of Performance measurement and attribution methodologies
