Job Summary
Troy University invites applications for a full time, 10-month renewable contract, tenure track position as Assistant Professor in History. The position is responsible for teaching introductory courses in World History and upper division (and potentially graduate) courses on topics relevant to the incumbent's research interests. The department seeks an instructor who specializes in History of early modern to modern Britain and/or France, ideally with some degree of specialization in the history of the Middle East and/or history of Africa. The teaching load will be four courses per semester. These will be taught in class and potentially online. This position is expected to begin in August 2023.
