Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Project Manager to lead commercial drywall and metal framing projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This position is responsible for overseeing all phases of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. Experience with acoustical ceilings and commercial flooring is highly valued.
The ideal candidate has a proven background managing commercial interior construction projects, maintaining strong relationships with general contractors and field teams, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects from contract award through project completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure complete scope understanding.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field personnel.
  • Monitor project costs, labor productivity, material procurement, and subcontractor performance to maximize profitability.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality standards, safety compliance, and schedule performance.
  • Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues affecting schedule, cost, or quality.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, warranties, and turnover packages.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and professional project management.

Requirements
  • 3-8+ years of project management experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Commercial drywall and metal framing experience is required.
