Job description

Construction Crew Operators & Laborers
Join our team at Maylor Foundation Contractors! We are a small construction company specializing in retaining walls for bridges and highways, and we’re hiring Construction Crew Laborers for roadway projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate skid steers or rough terrain forklifts to move materials from laydown areas to installation sites.
  • Prep job sites, lift and move materials, and assist with groundwork, including pile driving, lag setting, and whaler installation.
  • This is a physically demanding job requiring strength, stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Pay

  • $16 - $19/hour, based on experience.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and travel Required. Laborers meet at jobsite locations typically on the side of a highway across the state of Florida. Per diem pay and hotels are provided if traveling.
  • We are a drug free workplace. Drug testing at the start of employment as well as random safety screenings will be conducted.
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically challenging tasks as part of a team.
  • Hard working ethics
  • Teamwork skills

Preferred skills

  • Experience in construction or roadway work is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using a chainsaw is preferred.
  • Welding experience is preferred.
  • Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred.
