As a Framing Estimator, your typical day involves reviewing architectural plans and project specifications, quantifying materials and labor required for framing, and preparing detailed cost estimates. You’ll regularly collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and obtain pricing data. Additionally, you may be responsible for value engineering proposals to optimize costs, updating estimates based on change orders, and participating in bid meetings. This role is crucial for helping construction teams plan and budget effectively, and your analytical input directly impacts a project's success.
