Job description

Framing Carpenter  is primarily responsible for most aspects of framing for the successful completion of residential new homes, remodels and other structures such as garages and boat houses. The Team Lead will supervise a crew of 1-3 Carpenters while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Company quality standards. The Team Lead is responsible for upholding the Company’s standards with Customers, Sub Contractors and Inspectors.

  • 75% - Accurate and Timely completion of carpentry phases which could include Rough Carpentry, Finish Carpentry, Demolition, Siding and others. This includes construction in accordance with the approved plans and within the allocated budgeted hours.

  • 10% Communication with Project Managers as needed when the Foreman is not available. This includes assisting with schedules, material lists, hours estimate, material planning and delivery, labor allocation and site coordination.

  • 5% - Periodic performance reviews of assigned Carpenters. This includes formal written reviews as well as on the spot recognition, corrections and reinforcement of performance and behavior issues.

  • 5% Training and Development of assigned Carpenters. This includes mentoring, assigning work, career progression planning and counseling as required.

  • 5% - Mentor on Company culture – History, Community Involvement, Caring and Family/Business Values.

​​Qualifications and Education Requirements​

A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred

Construction and 5 years carpentry experience is preferred

Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions

Attention to detail with the ability to read construction plans

A valid driver's license

Local travel is required to job sites and vendor locations with private auto (mileage reimbursement is provided) and incumbent must have ability to lift 80 pounds
