Frac Service Supervisor Job

Midland, TX, United States

Working 14 days on, 7 days off

12 hour shifts

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FRAC Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all areas on the frac well site; instructing equipment operators in performing their assigned work; monitoring completion of work by the assigned crew; ensuring that necessary equipment and personnel are assigned to the job; monitoring high-risk activities to ensure safety practices are followed; preparing daily work tickets; ensuring that the job packet is complete and correct.

Detailed Description:

  • Monitor and ensure the completion of work performed by the assigned crew (such as equipment operators), while maintaining safety and efficiency
  • Ensure that necessary equipment and personnel are assigned to and are prepared for the job
  • Maintain regular contact with customers, by visiting job sites and meeting with customers, to ensure satisfaction with work progress
  • Track safety and equipment inspections to verify they are conducted in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor high-risk activities at the job site
  • Perform the duties of gate guard for all incoming traffic to customer locations
  • Provide instructions to the assigned crew members, supervising and assigning work accordingly
  • Prepare daily work tickets, summarizing work performed
  • Supervise and ensure the completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms, job safety checklist forms, and stop-work order forms
  • Represent the Company and our values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all customer interactions
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility in adherence to the Company's travel and entertainment policy
  • Manage and negotiate ongoing vendor services and support service level agreements
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees of all backgrounds feel included and their contributions are valued

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to train and direct the work of others
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to travel as needed to other offices and drilling rig work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum of four (4) years field related work experience
  • Must have and maintain valid state-issued driver's license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle and meet the requirements of the Company's vehicle program, policy and/or guidelines
  • Proven supervisory experience - 3 years or more

Working Conditions:

  • Employee must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others, including coworkers and third parties, including wearing any required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all designated times. This position requires the employee to work outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation and heights.
