Job Description: Job Title: FPI Level II Inspector
Reports To: FPI Level III
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: FPI
Summary: Performs nondestructive evaluations of metallic parts using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work under direct supervision performing penetrant testing & inspection functions using established inspection methods.
2. Startup of equipment used and inspect calibrations daily to ensure proper specifications.
3. Maintains and checks all temperatures and pressure gauges. Conducts daily/weekly, monthly calibration and systems checks
4. Checks traveler to ensure proper conditions.
5. Operates machines; ensures proper quality control standards
6. Mark defects, identify causes of rejects and follows through for corrective action
7. Assis with selection and set-up of nondestructive equipment for testing methods
8. Responsible for evaluating the receipt of materials to confirm material tests reports meet specification requirements
9. Supports inspection of receiving, in-process and final inspection of parts, assemblies, accessories and materials for conformance to specifications
Skills: Oral, Written and Technical Communication Skills.
Ability to Read blue prints and follow work instructions.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Computer Literacy.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
