Job description

Job Summary
This position is responsible for gifting quality and updating donor information (maintenance) in Donor Database to support the development and financial needs of the Foundation. This individual reviews and commits the gift batches in the Donor Database. The Foundation Specialist - Donor Database reviews the donor information entered by the gift associates and development daily. This position is back up for the Foundation Officer and Officer Sr - Donor Database on specific tasks as needed. The position develops and implements automation for Donor Database queries and reports.
Essential Functions of the Role
  • Assist in providing month-end and year to date Donor Database reporting for the close process
  • Assist accounting in monthly Donor Database pledge and contribution reconciliations
  • Monitor posting from Donor Database by reviewing work and recommending daily activity for posting to general ledger.
  • Recommend and document needed adjustments to Donor Database.
  • Assist in providing development with analytical reports including weekly gift reports, solicitor reports, mailing lists, campaign and event reports, etc
  • Assist in importing new constituents into the Donor Database. Produces pledge reminders as scheduled.
  • Recommend and assist in Donor Database maintenance by identifying duplicate donors, change of addresses, etc.
  • Manage the processing of online donations from the website. Monitor content management database and ensure that all documentation is in the appropriate record.
  • Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Preferred knowledge and use of Raiser's Edge software and/or fundraising.
  • Associate degree preferred at a minimum

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • 2 Years of Experience
