Job description

Senior Salesforce Administrator

The Senior Salesforce Administrator plays a key role on our Salesforce team, helping design, build, and support solutions used across Foundation Software. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Salesforce professional who brings strong technical expertise, enjoys solving complex problems, and believes the best solutions are built collaboratively.

As a senior member of the team, you'll work alongside other Salesforce administrators, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and collectively design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and built for the long term. You'll be expected to bring ideas to the table, identify risks and dependencies, ask the tough technical questions, and help the team make strong solution decisions.

This is also a hands-on role. You'll configure and build Salesforce solutions, work on project initiatives and enhancements, troubleshoot challenging production issues, support integrations, deploy changes, and jump into our Salesforce support queue when capacity allows. You'll also serve as a technical resource for other members of the team through collaboration, mentoring, peer review, and knowledge sharing.

What\'s great about working for Foundation? Plenty! We have a fun, casual, yet hard-working culture that invests in our employees, promotes creativity, and delivers on our reputation. How would you like to work for a company that offers manicures and pedicures in the office? We do! How about gas cards, laundry services, and monthly happy hour - we offer all this and more!

At Foundation we believe in and promote a work-life balance with a top-notch workout facility, fitness classes and free personal training; and for those competitive types, a game room complete with table tennis, foosball, and video game systems. Also a few comforts of home, there is a full kitchen, free coffee, soft drinks, and snacks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Salesforce team and Business Analysts to design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions
  • Actively contribute to solution design discussions by identifying risks, dependencies, downstream impacts, and alternative approaches
  • Configure, test, deploy, and support solutions for Salesforce projects, enhancements, and user stories
  • Design and build complex automation using Salesforce Flow and other declarative platform capabilities
  • Partner with Business Analysts to refine requirements, identify gaps, evaluate technical feasibility, and recommend solutions
  • Troubleshoot complex Salesforce issues involving automation, security, data, integrations, and platform configuration
  • Participate in the Salesforce support queue and assist with administrative requests, incidents, data issues, access requests, and other operational needs
  • Evaluate existing Salesforce configurations and automation to identify technical debt and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to data model and security design and help maintain appropriate access controls and data integrity
  • Evaluate the potential impact of changes across existing business processes, automation, integrations, and Salesforce functionality
  • Prepare and deploy Salesforce changes through sandbox and production environments using change sets
  • Participate in peer review, testing, and post-deployment validation
  • Document technical solutions and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other Salesforce administrators
  • Proactively identify platform risks and opportunities for improvement and bring recommendations to the team
Required Skills and Experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce Flow and complex declarative automation
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, platform capabilities, governor limits, and declarative architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, including permission sets, permission set groups, profiles, roles, sharing, object-level security, and field-level security
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple business processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience supporting Salesforce integrations and external systems
  • Experience managing changes across Salesforce sandbox and production environments
  • Strong Salesforce data-management and data-quality skills
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and identify technical considerations, dependencies, and potential downstream impacts
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance project work, enhancements, and operational support in a changing environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Platform App Builder and/or additional Salesforce certifications
  • Experience with Experience Cloud
  • Experience with data management tools such as DemandTools
  • Experience supporting a complex Salesforce environment with multiple business processes, products, and integrations
  • Exposure to Salesforce DevOps practices, source control, or modern deployment tooling
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other Salesforce administrators
