Job Description:

JLL is seeking a Digital Deployment Engineer to join our Global Digital & Transformation Team. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, building technology, and operational delivery, responsible for deploying and integrating advanced technology solutions across complex facilities portfolios.

You will work directly with clients, facilities operations teams, and internal technology groups to implement smart building platforms, operational systems, and data-driven workflows that transform how buildings and workplaces perform. This is a hands-on technical role requiring both engineering expertise and the ability to understand real-world facilities operations.

Reports into: Global Digital Transformation Lead

Key Responsibilities

Solution Deployment & Integration

  • Deploy and configure technology platforms across client facilities including CMMS/IWMS, BMS, IoT sensors, energy management systems, and workplace applications

  • Build integrations between building systems, enterprise platforms (ERP, HR, finance), and operational tools using APIs, middleware, and custom code

  • Develop automation workflows for maintenance scheduling, work order routing, incident management, and service delivery

  • Implement data pipelines to aggregate information from disparate building and operational systems into unified analytics environments

  • Configure dashboards, reporting tools, and visualization platforms for facilities teams and client stakeholders

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Partner with client stakeholders, facilities managers, and operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Lead technical aspects of pilot programs, proof-of-concept initiatives, and enterprise-scale rollouts

  • Conduct onsite visits to assess existing systems, support deployment activities, and troubleshoot integration challenges

  • Deliver training and technical documentation to operations teams and end users

  • Manage stakeholder communication throughout implementation phases

Technical Problem-Solving

  • Diagnose and resolve integration issues, data quality problems, and system performance challenges

  • Troubleshoot connectivity between legacy building systems and modern cloud platforms

  • Optimize system configurations for reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency

  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis for technical issues affecting operations

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify patterns in deployment challenges and develop reusable solutions and standardized approaches

  • Collaborate with product teams to translate field insights into platform enhancements

  • Document technical configurations, deployment procedures, and integration standards

  • Contribute to innovation initiatives involving AI, predictive maintenance, digital twins, sustainability analytics, and workplace optimization

  • Stay current with emerging technologies in smart buildings, IoT, and facilities operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, technical implementation, or solutions engineering

  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise software platforms and integration technologies

  • Experience in client-facing or field deployment roles

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, or similar)

  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integration patterns

  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

  • Understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and data quality management

Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of facilities management operations, building systems, or commercial real estate

  • Awareness of building automation, HVAC systems, energy management, or workplace technologies

  • Knowledge of operational workflows in maintenance, service delivery, or space management

Professional Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience in Agile or project management methodologies

  • Certifications in cloud platforms, building systems, or facilities management (CFM, FMP, Azure/AWS certifications)
