Network Automation Engineer
Location: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)
Role Overview
A Network Automation Engineer is needed to support the development and maintenance of network automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, visibility, and incident response. This role focuses on developing and applying skills in Python-based automation, network fundamentals, and operational support automation within a structured engineering environment. The position involves working under the guidance of senior automation engineers to deliver well-defined automation tasks and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance Python-based automation scripts to support network operations and monitoring use cases.
  • Assist in building and maintaining automation workflows used for event enrichment, diagnostics, and basic remediation.
  • Support integration of automation with existing monitoring, telemetry, and alerting platforms.
  • Participate in identifying repeatable operational tasks that can be automated under senior engineer guidance.
  • Help implement validation checks, logging, and basic guardrails in automation workflows.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of automation components in non-production and production environments.
  • Maintain documentation such as runbooks, automation usage guides, and operational notes.
  • Provide first-level support for automation tools and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
  • Follow established development, version control, and deployment standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
