Forward Deployment Engineer Jobs in Minnesota (NOW HIRING)

We are building Reflow, a workforce and workflow intelligence platform that helps teams improve performance through a deep understanding of how work actually happens. Customers get excited after the first demo. Forward Deployed Engineers turn that excitement into adoption, retention, and growth. This is a technical, customer‑facing role at the intersection of customer success, engineering, product, and go‑to‑market.

• Own the customer journey: Setup, onboarding, adoption, and long‑term success.
• Shorten time‑to‑value: Move customers from demo to value quickly.
• Work hands‑on with customers to configure Reflow for their real‑life use cases and turn their data into meaningful information to help them data‑driven business decisions.
• Build integrations, data pipelines, prototypes, and proofs of value for strategic customers.
• Debug data issues, model behavior, and system performance in live customer environments.
• Capture and structure customer feedback: Be the voice of the user in product and engineering decisions.
• Partner with product and engineering to surface technical gaps, edge cases, and feature opportunities.
• Assist the contract process with new partners, working closely with our legal team to keep things smooth and fast.
• Build strong relationships that lead to expansions and renewals.
• Create and refine the playbook: Onboarding processes, success metrics, touchpoints.

Who you are:

• Entrepreneurial: Former founder, early employee of a startup, or operator who thrives in ambiguity.
• Technical background with hands‑on experience in engineering, data, or systems roles.
• Comfortable writing code, working with APIs, data pipelines, and production systems.
• Able to move between customer conversations and technical implementation without losing momentum.
• Curious and analytical. You dig into workflows, systems, and data to uncover root causes.
• Sharp communicator: Written, verbal, and human.

• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Success, or early‑stage startup engineer.
• Background in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or data‑heavy products.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms, BI tools, workflow systems, or automation software.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers through security, data access, or compliance reviews.
• Be an early, high‑impact hire working directly with the founders and founding team.

You’ll own a key product surface, the Windows app that powers Reflow’s data collection and user insights. You’ll work closely with the core team, improving performance, reliability, and the developer experience across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine craftsmanship with real impact.

• Lead macOS app development, architecture, performance, deployment, and long‑term scalability.
• Own the quality bar: profiling, debugging, optimizing for speed and stability.
• Ensure compatibility across managed environments, including MDM and restricted setups.
• Collaborate closely with backend and data teams to integrate APIs and improve system reliability.
• Guide and mentor team members and other developers, helping elevate the overall engineering craft.
• Build for the edge cases, from sandboxing and permissions to enterprise deployments.
• Contribute to our CI/CD and testing practices, ensuring smooth builds and updates.

Who you are:

• Expert in Swift and macOS app development, with a deep grasp of Apple frameworks, security, and system design.
• Proven experience in profiling, debugging, and performance optimization across varied Mac environments.
• Comfortable working in managed device contexts (MDM), understanding sandboxing, permissions, and deployment constraints.
• Familiar with API integrations, backend collaboration, and maintaining reliable interfaces.
• A stickler for detail, you notice inconsistencies others miss and care deeply about polish.
• Experience with SwiftUI and Catalyst for cross‑platform work is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of Django REST Framework or similar backend stacks.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated macOS testing.
• Experience in security‑focused or enterprise‑managed environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise compliance and privacy standards.

You’ll own a critical part of Reflow’s core product, the Mac app that powers everything else. You’ll work directly with the founders, influence the product roadmap, and shape the engineering culture. This is a role for builders who love technical depth and product impact.

• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest data from APIs and internal systems.
• Model and manage datasets to support flexible analytics and product features.
• Collaborate with engineering team to improve data mining and analytics performance.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualization tools (Metabase, Tableau, Power BI) to enable internal and external insights.
