WHAT MAKES US EPIC?
At the core of Epic's success are talented, passionate people. Epic prides itself on creating a collaborative, welcoming, and creative environment. Whether it's building award-winning games or crafting engine technology that enables others to make visually stunning interactive experiences, we're always innovating.
Being Epic means being a part of a team that continually strives to do right by our community and users. We're constantly innovating to raise the bar of engine and game development.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT - UNREAL ENGINE
What We Do
Unreal-powered projects have led the way in real-time entertainment for over 20 years. Our team of industry experts continuously innovates to enhance the tools and technology that empower developers around the world.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Director of Product Management, Unreal Ecosystem, you will serve as the senior business partner to our engine development leadership, owning the product roadmap and growth strategy for Unreal Editor for Fortnite, UE6 and other Epic developer tools and services. You will define product vision and strategy, partner with engineering to bring that vision to life, and work closely with our GTM teams to drive adoption and commercial results. You will bring both strategic vision and operational rigor to one of the most consequential platforms in real-time 3D creation.
In this role, you will
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for UEFN and UE, partnering closely with engineering leadership to prioritize initiatives that drive creator growth, developer adoption, platform performance, and commercial outcomes
  • Define measurable goals for major roadmap initiatives, track business impact across releases, and use those insights to continuously refine prioritization
  • Stay deeply connected to the UEFN creator and developer community, translating their needs and behaviors into product strategy alongside the creator success team
  • Champion adoption of platform-level social and discovery features, including friends, parties, and text chat into a native layer of the Epic ecosystem
  • Define and grow pathways for developers to participate in the broader epic ecosystem and metaverse economy, shaping new commercial models and open standards
  • Lead and grow a team of product managers, providing mentorship, organizational clarity, and the structure needed to execute a complex, multi-workstream roadmap effectively
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and cross-functional partners to align on priorities, requirements, and go-to-market execution for major platform releases
What we're looking for
  • 12+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on developer tools, game engines, or complex platform ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of the game development process and the needs of creators and developers building on real-time 3D platforms
  • Proven ability to function as a business partner to engineering leadership someone who can bring goal-setting, prioritization frameworks, and growth thinking to a team that builds the platform others build on
  • Experience defining and tracking product KPIs, measuring roadmap impact, and using data to drive decisions
  • Strong understanding of platform ecosystem dynamics such as social features, marketplace integrations, developer services, and how they compound into long-term growth
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders, write clear product requirements, and present strategy to senior leadership
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing product managers across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • A genuine passion for the creator and developer community; someone who stays close to how developers and players are evolving and can translate that into a compelling product vision
