Overview of position:

We are looking for a Network Engineer/Architect Senior to work in Indianapolis, IN.

An active Top-Secret clearance and United States Citizenship are required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior network engineering support for DFAS CCE infrastructure
  • Maintain network architecture and configuration design documentation
  • Provide architecture and configuration design updates as solutions are deployed
  • Support Security Team operations at all DFAS locations for network security
  • Support firewall, web proxy/filter, IDS/IPS, DNS, DNSSEC operations
  • Implement change control process for network configurations
  • Support network security troubleshooting and access issue resolution
  • Maintain secure configurations per DISA STIGs
  • Support COOP/DR planning and exercises
  • Coordinate with government team members on coverage and workload

Experience/Skills:

  • 8+ years network engineering experience
  • Security X (formerly CASP+) certification
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise network security technologies
  • Experience with firewall administration and policy management
  • Proficiency with DNS/DNSSEC implementation
  • Experience with IDS/IPS configuration and monitoring
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG compliance requirements
  • Network documentation and design skills
  • Experience with classified network environments

Preferred Qualification:

  • CISSP certification
  • Cisco CCNP certification
  • Palo Alto or Fortinet certifications
  • Experience with DFAS network infrastructure
  • Prior DoD network engineering experience

Education:

Clearance:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
