Description

* This is a Dual Rated Position with both job titles of Security Officer II and Security Shift Supervisor *

Summary: Provides for the safety and protection of guests, employees, and company property. Anticipates potential problems and seeks ways to prevent disruption, injuries, and prohibited conduct from occurring on company premises. Responds to emergency situations as requested and takes appropriate steps to rectify problems and at the same time minimize casino liability. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Chances Fort St John policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities โ€“ Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of staff and guests.
  • Safeguard assets of the company
  • Enforce company security regulations and security department policies and procedures as directed by the department supervisor or manager.
  • Monitor, observe, document and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities.
  • Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized guests and/or employees.
  • Observing transactions, slot/table drops, chip transfers; escorts cash and cash equivalent transfers.
  • Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Properly managing found property.
  • Provide information, guide traffic or respond to complaints.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed. Check doors, windows, locks and building interiors for signs of damage or theft.
  • Responds to suspected intoxicated patrons in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Escorting guests and team members as directed.
  • Prevent, banned, disassociate, and underage gambling access to casino floor by following identification verification procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Conduct investigations on reported incidents as directed.
  • Investigate accidents reports as directed.
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain proper department uniform, appearance and grooming stands.
  • Maintain and understand compliance with federal, state local regulations.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures.
