Job Title: Line Cook – Fort Carson Dining Facility

Location: Fort Carson, Colorado
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Positions Available: 7
Employment: Full-time; contingent upon contract award and Government approval
Anticipated Start Date: September 30, 2026

GD Resources LLC is seeking seven experienced Line Cooks to support food-service operations at a military dining facility located at Fort Carson, Colorado. Selected candidates will prepare, cook, and serve breakfast and lunch while maintaining strict food-safety and sanitation standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare breakfast and lunch in large quantities using standardized recipes and Government-provided menus.

  • Prepare regular, short-order, salad-bar, breakfast-bar, and special-event menu items.

  • Set up and maintain serving lines, salad bars, beverages, ice, and self-service stations.

  • Serve meals using proper portions, utensils, and food-temperature controls.

  • Apply progressive cooking, batch cooking, and cook-to-order methods to reduce waste.

  • Safely handle, label, store, cool, and reheat food and leftovers.

  • Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, food-contact surfaces, preparation areas, floors, and drains.

  • Clean griddles, fryers, ovens, stoves, slicers, utensils, and related kitchen equipment.

  • Support box meals and remote-site feeding when required.

  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, security, and facility procedures.

  • Complete production and food-safety records accurately.

  • Perform other food-service duties necessary for successful dining-facility operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience preparing food in a commercial, institutional, military, hospital, school, or high-volume dining facility.

  • Current ServSafe certification completed within the previous four years.

  • Current 40-hour sanitation certification or ability to obtain the required certification before performance.

  • Knowledge of food preparation, portion control, temperature control, cross-contamination prevention, and kitchen sanitation.

  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and production schedules.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and move food and kitchen supplies.

  • Ability to work an early-morning schedule and report reliably to Fort Carson.

  • Ability to pass background screening and obtain access to a military installation.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Professional appearance and ability to comply with uniform and non-slip footwear requirements.

Experience with military dining facilities, Armed Forces recipes, TB MED 530, TM 4-41.11, or DA Form 3034 is preferred but not required.
