Position Summary

Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking experienced Carpenters/Form Setters to support the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related heavy civil infrastructure. Carpenters/Form Setters are responsible for building, assembling, and installing concrete formwork systems for structural components including tanks, treatment structures, underground utilities, and foundations. This role requires strong technical carpentry skills, knowledge of heavy civil construction practices, and a commitment to safety and quality.


What You'll Do

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, or prefabricated formwork for concrete structures 
  • Set and align forms to specified grades, elevations, and dimensions 
  • Install form ties, braces, and hardware to ensure stability during concrete placement 
  • Build formwork for specialized structures including clarifiers, tanks, channels, vaults, manholes, foundations, and structural walls 
  • Adapt formwork designs to accommodate complex geometries and water/wastewater construction requirements 
  • Use hand and power tools safely and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition 
  • Follow OSHA regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and company policies 
  • Participate in job hazard analysis and safety meetings 
  • Perform additional duties as instructed by the supervisor


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior carpenter experience in heavy civil, concrete, or infrastructure construction (water and wastewater experience preferred) 
  • Advanced wood forming experience 
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, sketches, and blueprints 
  • Experience using hand and power tools commonly used in construction 
  • Must provide own basic hand tools (hammer, tool pouch, level, tape measure, 8" crescent wrench, etc.) 
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing 
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and remain task-oriented 
  • Commitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
