Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Reno NV

We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Practice in Reno, NV. We are looking for a compassionate provider, who pays attention to detail, is passionate about helping others and providing high-quality patient care. Experience in pain management is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate as well. The job duties entail providing pain management for patients suffering from both acute and chronic pain because of cancer, trauma, or aging. The main responsibility of the incoming Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is to assess the patient to determine extent of pain and follow pain treatment guidelines and protocols to help improve the patient’s quality of life, with procedures to include injections for joints and migraines. We offer professional advancement and training in all procedures, and we will consider a recent graduate!

From spinal injections to cognitive behavioral services and physical therapy, our care team is committed to working with each patient to develop a treatment plan that’s right for them. We work with patients’ pre-surgery, post-surgery, and those trying to avoid surgery. Our team is committed to educating patients about their treatment options and aim to build an effective treatment plan aimed at pain reduction. We have a well-respected and knowledgeable team of Physicians, Physical therapist, Psychologist, PA/NP providers, as well as full support staff. Our providers have been bringing high quality care to the community of Reno for over 20 years!

Duties:

  • Patient exams/evaluations (medical history, physical exam, HPI, review pertinent imaging/records/reports)
  • Diagnosis and treatment plan formulation
  • Order and review diagnostic studies when medically relevant
  • Manage Patient care and progress (including medication management and procedures)
  • Procedures to include Joint injections, trigger point injections, US guided injections, Migraine therapies (Botox) we will provide training
  • Referral to MDs for procedures such as Epidural injections, Kyphoplasty, etc.
  • Consultation/Collaboration with the MD’s, PA/NP’s, and other support staff for comprehensive care
  • Documentation/Charting-timely and accurate
  • Patient follow up and regular progress visits
  • Patient education as to treatment plan options, diagnosis, and medication management
  • Attend company meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain continuing education for purpose of self-education and to meet license maintenance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current and Active Nevada PA/NP license
  • Pain management experience a plus, but we are willing to train as well
  • Obtain both the Nevada CS pharmacy license and the DEA license

Schedule:

  • M-F 8a to 5p (8 hr day) or four 10 hr days
  • No holiday, no call, no weekends required

Compensation (range):

  • $130k -135k per year (with bonuses -depending on experience)
