Education and Experience

  • Bachelors - Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Technical background with specific experience in formulation in plastics industry preferred

  • Experience with managing direct reports

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provides direction, ensures resources and manages programs to ensure the plant's safety and environmental performance meets established goals.
  • Develops and implements plans to reduce waste, meet applicable regulatory standards and handles emergency situations that may arise at the Site.
  • Develop a plant operating plan that is consistent with and supports the overall business plan.
  • Determines what resources are required to successfully implement the operating plan and then secure them.
  • Ensures standards for product quality, equipment and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
  • Develops capital plan to improve plant operations.
  • Ensures plant performs at or below annual budgeted cost levels.
  • Develops employees through training, involvement programs and other programs to create a strong team environment.
  • Identifies develop opportunities and provides subordinates opportunities to meet career development plans.
  • Represents Avient to the external community in a professional and positive manner.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
