Research Scientist Formulation Development
Formulation Scientist - OTC Gummies & VMS
We're looking for a hands-on formulation scientist with experience developing gummies and/or vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) to help create new over-the-counter consumer health products. In this role, you'll work in the lab and with our partner CMO's to turn product ideas into prototypes, develop formulations across a range of dosage forms, and support products from concept through launch. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys bench work, innovation, cross-functional teamwork, and building products consumers will actually use.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and optimize new formulations for OTC consumer health products, with a strong focus on gummies and VMS
  • Create lab prototypes and help turn early ideas into viable product concepts
  • Manage multiple development projects and prioritize work to meet timelines
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including analytical, regulatory, technical, and commercial
  • Identify technical risks early and help drive solutions
  • Support external development work when needed
  • Prepare technical documentation to support product development, launch, and regulatory approval
  • Work with analytical teams to define testing and stability requirements
  • Contribute to innovation by evaluating new delivery formats, ingredients, and technologies
  • Present product concepts and prototypes to internal teams

Required Qualifications:
  • Direct experience developing gummies and/or VMS products is strongly preferred
  • Experience in formulation development for OTC, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, nutritional, or consumer health products
  • Strong hands-on laboratory skills and experience with product prototyping
  • Experience supporting new product development from idea to execution
  • Comfort managing several projects at once in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Understanding of cGMP requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related science field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • PhD in a related field with 1+ year of industry or academic research experience in drug product development

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 93600- 140400. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
