Position Details:
  • Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday night off
  • Overnight shift.
  • Overtime available.
  • Pay starts at $20 dollars an hour.
  • 40 hours or more a week

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to ultimately become a CDL driver for Coremark. Candidate will work as a trainee helper before attending trucking school and then will be trained to be a formula paid CDL driver for the company.
Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! As a Driver trainee, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery to our customers.
The Driver trainee rides with and assist Drivers in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Assists the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Loads and unloading truck and/or company vehicles. 
  • Places products in areas identified by customers.
  • Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Assists the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Minimum age of 19 years old.
• Must have standard drivers license for at least 1 year
• 6+ months in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
