Experience as a former server is highly valuable when transitioning to customer service or sales roles. Skills such as effective communication, conflict resolution, multitasking, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments are directly transferable. Many employers appreciate candidates who have firsthand experience managing customer expectations and delivering quality service under pressure. Highlighting these abilities in your application and interviews can set you apart and demonstrate your readiness for similar client-facing roles.
