Job Summary:

The Project Manager for Voyager Space Solutions is responsible for planning and executing projects from concept to completion, ensuring all phases are managed effectively, while developing customer relationships, coordinating with technical teams, and providing comprehensive project reporting.

The position reports to the VP of Project & Mission Management and is part of the Program Management department. This role is hybrid and based in Webster, Tx.

In this role, the essential functions are:

  • Developing and overseeing project scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Providing detailed status reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership;
  • Managing scope creep and change requests;
  • Leading cross-functional teams to drive desired outcomes;
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships;
  • Supporting comprehensive project proposals;
  • Overseeing external supplier relationships; and
  • Capturing lessons learned to foster continuous improvement.

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, chemical engineering, physics, materials science, computer science/engineering, mathematics, or business,
  • Masterโ€™s degree in a related field with equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience leading projects across full project lifecycles experience with common project management frameworks, tools, and software
  • Strong cross-functional team leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams including technical and project management staff, defining tasks, schedules, and levels of effort
  • Ability to follow company-defined project management processes and best practices
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (as required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP credential strongly preferred

Experience working with government and commercial aerospace customers; familiarity with launch vehicles and/or payload development preferred

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

  • Travel up to 30%
  • Sedentary work; ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
