McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician .
The Shop Service Technician position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):
• Must have heavy equipment and construction equipment experience.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on construction and forestry equipment.
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment functionality and lifespan.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and maintain accurate repair records using computer and mobile devices.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Proficient in basic computer applications for diagnostics and record keeping.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-year associate degree from a technical school
• 2 years of related diesel technician experience.
• Engine overhaul experience
