As a Physical Therapist at Forest Manor Rehabilitation Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations that involve reviewing patient history and assessing physical capabilities to determine individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicating evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, encouraging their involvement in the goal-setting process.
• Implementing treatment protocols tailored to each patient’s specific needs while adapting to changes in their conditions over time.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure holistic patient care.
• Documenting patient care activities promptly and accurately, including initial evaluations and discharge summaries, reflecting a thorough understanding of each patient’s rehabilitation journey.
• Participating in departmental meetings and community outreach initiatives, contributing to our marketing efforts to raise awareness of our services.
• Encouraging a culture of continuous professional development, remaining informed on best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.
• Driving improvements in patient access to care by actively participating in initiatives aimed at removing barriers and engaging in metrics to assess patient experience.

At Forest Manor Rehabilitation Services, we cater to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating from injuries. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• While prior work experience is advantageous, we welcome newly graduated professionals eager to learn and grow in their roles.

Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required. We seek individuals with a strong willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and who are dedicated to providing excellent patient-centered care.
