PAID INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Big River Forest Products | Vicksburg and Gloster, Mississippi

Turn What You’re Learning into Real-World Experience

Big River Forest Products is seeking motivated college students for paid internship opportunities at our Vicksburg and Gloster sawmill. This program is designed for students who want hands-on experience, professional development, and an opportunity to explore long-term careers in the forest products and manufacturing industries.

Our interns will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and contribute to projects that support our operations and business goals. You will have the opportunity to see how Southern yellow pine is transformed into lumber used to build homes, businesses, and communities across the country.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

Depending on your area of study and career interests, internship assignments may include exposure to:

• Sawmill and planer operations
• Engineering and process improvement
• Maintenance and reliability
• Safety and environmental practices
• Forestry and wood-products manufacturing
• Supply chain, logistics, and inventory
• Human resources and employee relations
• Finance, accounting, and business administration
• Quality, production, and continuous improvement

Interns may assist with meaningful projects, analyze information, participate in team meetings, observe manufacturing processes, and work with leaders across different areas of the organization.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking students who:

• Are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Are interested in manufacturing, forestry, engineering, business, or a related field
• Have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Communicate professionally and work well with others
• Demonstrate initiative, dependability, and attention to detail
• Are comfortable learning in both office and industrial settings
• Follow all company policies and safety requirements

Students from all majors are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in students studying engineering, forestry, industrial technology, business, accounting, finance, human resources, supply chain, environmental science, safety, or related disciplines.

WHAT WE OFFER

• A paid internship with real-world responsibilities
• Hands-on learning in a modern manufacturing environment
• Mentoring from experienced professionals and company leaders
• Exposure to multiple departments and career paths
• Opportunities to build professional skills and industry knowledge
• Experience that strengthens your résumé
• Consideration for future internships or full-time employment based on performance and business needs
