Job Description

This position is available in our Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspections Department. We are seeking an Engineering Technician to add to our Raleigh, NC Office. It is preferred that candidates are familiar with performing field activities such as field density testing (Shelby tube and sand cone), material quantifications and concrete sampling and testing. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic. Work schedule may include some weekends.

Qualifications

Ideal applicants will have at least 1 - 3 years of direct construction material testing experience  and NCDOT Asphalt Certified or hold an Engineer in Training Certification. It is preferred to have certifications or training from ACI, ICC, NICET, NCDOT and/or SCDOT; Nuclear Gauge Certification a plus. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred. Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record and pre-employment drug screening is required.
