Hybrid 2-3 days per week on-site in Alexandria, VA.
Our client seeks a digital forensics specialist to conduct network and media investigations that support incident response, threat analysis, and enterprise security operations. The role will utilize industry-standard tools, techniques, and procedures to investigate cybersecurity events and security incidents across varied operating systems and cloud environments.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
  • Perform network and media digital forensic investigations to support cybersecurity incident response, threat analysis, and enterprise security operations.
  • Utilize industry-standard forensic, malware analysis, and incident response tools, techniques, and procedures to investigate cybersecurity events and security incidents.

Experience Requirements:
  • ship required.
  • 5+ years digital forensics experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Experience with disk duplication, mobile forensics, malware analysis, and forensic toolsets.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and M365.
  • Ability to investigate Virtual Machines, CloudTrail, and IAM logs.
  • Ability to utilize EDR, SIEM, and full packet capture to perform hunt and investigative activity across endpoints and networks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Education Requirements:
  • Desired certifications: GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GISF, GXPN, GCTI, GOSI, EnCase (EnCE, CFSR, ENCEP).
