Job description

Summary To provide research support in the Forensic Science Examination Lab on various projects on the interpretation of fingerprint, firearm and trace evidence. Career Readiness Competencies Set personal goals and track progress toward them. Write clear and professional emails appropriate to the workplace.

Analyze problems and propose practical solutions. Evaluate different options before recommending a course of action. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Learn new software or digital platforms as needed for your role. Essential Functions Interpret, synthesize, and analyze data Facilitate gathering of materials and data for various projects and reports; write summaries of project findings as requested Maintain a laboratory notebook Present research findings Work safely in the laboratory Work with graduate students Minimum Qualifications Forensic Science Major in good academic standing Good organizational skills and neatness Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Proficiency in technical writing and documentation Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with data analysis and statistics Additional Information The student will work under the direct supervision of the faculty member.
